Charlevoix County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. It's county seat is Charlevoix. The county was created on 1869 and originated from parts of Antrim County, Emmet County and Otsego County. The name of the county comes from Pierre Francois Xavier de Charlevoix (1682-1761): Jesuit traveller and historian of New France.
